2005 Kenworth Our 5th Truck
My love of big trucks began way back when I was a kid.  Growing up as a rancher/farmers daughter I loved being outside rather than being inside.  Therefore I am not a good cook nor do I like to cook.  I liked to swath hay and disk fields and even irrigate.  I simply liked to drive big things.  My brother Wayne taught me to drive the bale wagon and I thought that was the funnest thing ever!  I tore off a corner of the barn roof once with it.  I did not tell my dad.  But anyways---when it came time to truck the cows to the mountains for the summer we would gather the cows and calves the night before the trucks were due and they would show up early the next morning.  I was in awe of the trucks and cattle trailers that would line up the road where the corrals were, waiting their turn to load.  I would beg my dad to let me ride in the semis with one of the drivers and he would always tell me no.  I always had to go with him and my brothers and the horses.  Well now John and I are the ones waiting for the ranchers to get the pairs (cows and calves) separated, the brand inspector the show up and then our turn to get loaded.  I can say I'm grateful to have experienced both sides of the job!

I'm breaking down and becoming a Blog-Her!

I always thought blogs were just for other people to do, not for me.  I love reading, looking at, and enjoying other peoples blogs but never planned on doing one myself.  First of all I don't have the time, (do I???) second of all I don't want other people to know what I'm doing, thirdly, I usually don't make any sense, fourthly,(see these aren't even words), I don't know how to put pictures on the computer and fifthly, well, I just don't know.  BUT--I have started doing new things in my middle aged life and my girls are growing up, and I don't like that part, and I want to keep track of some of these things and I hate, hate, hate to scrapbook so this is IT!  So I am going to learn to put all the pictures I am taking with the iphone I used to make fun of but now can't seem to live without on the computer and tell my stories.  I forget things at an alarming rate nowadays so this is also my journal.  Now I have to go ask my teenager, Kassidy, how to download or upload my pictures so I can start my story.  The story begins with the first picture on my iphone.  Until later.......Ag
